Proof of delivery records support shipment follow-up by documenting delivery details, recipient acceptance, exceptions, and available delivery evidence.
Proof of delivery supports operational follow-up after the local handoff. It can identify the delivery, shipment reference, deliver-to party, pieces, weight, delivery date, result, recipient information, remarks, and available signatures or supporting evidence.
POD records the outcome observed at delivery. It does not silently change the documented shipment cargo, customs record, invoice, or carrier tracking result.
